Why choose a Floor safe:

A floor-mounted hidden safe is harder to find and can be concealed almost anywhere. Simply placing a cabinet, sofa, or armchair over it makes it virtually unnoticeable.

It can also be covered with a carpet or other flooring material. In every case, it will provide a reassuring, secret location within your home. However, due to its placement, we recommend using it for items that you don’t need access to every day.

The top and door of a professionally installed floor safe are positioned a few centimeters below the floor level, so we provide a cover plate. This effectively protects the lock from dust and spilled liquids. The cover plate is also useful because it prevents damage to the lock if an adult steps on it and helps shield it from mop water, which is not ideal for the lock.

Available with a key lock.

Experience shows that a floor safe provides effective protection in the event of a fire. Since it is located below floor level, where heat rises, the temperature inside the safe generally does not become excessively high. However, during firefighting, it is possible for water to enter the safe, so it is advisable to pack papers and documents in well-sealed boxes or waterproof nylon.

The Strauss Metal Terra floor safe is available in two sizes:

Height x Width x Depth (mm)

Terra 1 floor safe: 225x325x260

Terra 2 floor safe: 282x400x260

The height and width can be interpreted in multiple ways in this case. Please consider the above dimensions as if you were viewing the already installed safe from above. The figures indicate that only the depth is the same, with the main difference being in the door opening.

The smaller model, the Terra 1, has dimensions of (225x325) which are slightly larger than an A4 paper (210x295), so it can comfortably accommodate important documents. In the Terra 2, you can fit wider items lying flat, but its dimensions (282x400) are slightly smaller than an A3 paper (295x420).

The Terra floor safes have capacities of 13.5 and 23 liters, respectively, and weigh 13 and 19 kg. The smaller model has 1 locking bolt, while the larger one has 5 bolts for enhanced protection against tampering. Both safes are made of 8 mm thick steel plate, with reinforcement around the lock to protect against drilling attempts.

Based on the above data, the Strauss Metal Terra floor safes fall into the MABISZ C classification category. Their insurance coverage limit is 3 million HUF, which can be doubled if the safe is also connected to the house's alarm system.
